Wire & String Feature Trees with Pam Wettenhall
Sunday 8th March 10am -3pm
ERAS Sunday School
Workshop: Wire & String Feature Trees with Pam Wettenhall
In this hands-on session, students will create unique sculptural “feature trees” using natural branches, wire, and string. These small-scale creations can stand alone as personal art pieces or be incorporated into larger mixed-media works to add depth and three-dimensional texture.
Participants will learn how to:
Select and prepare branches for stability and aesthetic balance
Wrap and weave with different types of wire and twine to build structure and form
Experiment with layering and texture to enhance visual interest
Use simple adhesive and assembly techniques to secure and display their finished trees
All materials are provided, including a selection of natural branches, wire, string/twine, limited wire cutters, spray adhesive, and Fowler jars for optional base mounting.
This workshop is suitable for beginners through to experienced artists looking to explore sculptural elements and mixed-media composition.
If you have some wire cutters bring them along!
