Mel Anderson Exhibition
10 - 31 October
Edward River Art Society - 58 Cressy St Deniliquin
Edward River Art Society is delighted to invite you to join us in welcoming celebrated visual artist Mel Anderson to the Edward River community with this exhibition of her work.
Mel is a professional artist who has exhibited her work in and around Sydney for almost 30 years. She relocated to Deniliquin in January 2023 and has quickly established herself as part of the local arts community.
This exhibition includes both old and new works, with a mix of ceramics, printmaking, illustration and photography.
‘Curiosity drives me and my art is a way to make sense of the world. This exhibition is a little bit playful and I hope it gives locals, young and old, a different perspective of their local environment’.
Mel and her unique artwork were recently profiled in the Australian Geographic - australiangeographic.com.au/topics/history-culture/2024/09/dangar-island-secluded-but-not-alone
You can see more of Mel's work on her website - melanderson.com.au
Please join us for the official opening party on Thursday 10 October at 5pm at Edward River Art Society, 58 Cressy Street, Deniliquin
Mel will be hosting clay making workshops at the gallery on the 12 & 26 October - come and make a bird! Find out more at edwardriverartsociety.com/events/clay-hand-building-workshops
